Search upgrades, Markdown checklists, and pricing

An upgraded search engine, checkboxes in your notes, a public pricing page, and signup by email link.

Improved

An upgraded search engine

We've upgraded the search engine behind your PDFs and notes. Agents connected through MCP can now narrow searches to completed or unfinished Markdown tasks, helping you find what's left to do across your notes.

New

See your Markdown checklists at a glance

GitHub-style task lists now show checked and unchecked boxes in reading mode, including nested checklists. Update completion in the source editor. For older Markdown files, make and save an edit to enable checkbox rendering and task search.

Fixed

Fixed rate limiting for agent connections

Fixed a rate-limiting issue that could block sign-in or permission approval when connecting an agent to Mempipe. If you previously had trouble completing the connection, try connecting again.

DocumentsDocumentsMCPSearch

PDF figures for you and your agents

Read extracted PDF figures alongside the text, let connected agents inspect them, and connect Claude more reliably.

Integration note: Custom MCP integrations should update for structured search and grep responses. read_document now uses line_no and max_lines instead of offset and limit, and returns next_line_no for continuation. REST integrations are unchanged.

New

PDF figures in the reading view

PDFs processed with Docling now include extracted charts, diagrams, and other figures in the reading view. For a PDF processed before this update, select Docling again in the extractor picker to add figures.

New

Connected agents can inspect PDF figures

Agents connected through your Space’s MCP endpoint can now request extracted figure images alongside document text. Compatible clients and image-capable models can inspect the visual evidence, including charts and diagrams.

Citations that travel with your answers

Copy, export, or share an answer without losing the link back to its exact source in Mempipe.

New to Mempipe? Watch the new 18-second overview: Sources in. Cited knowledge out.

Improved

Citations now use portable Markdown links

Citations in agent chat now use standard Markdown links. Copy an answer or export it as Markdown and each trusted citation becomes a complete Mempipe link to the exact source block, ready to open outside the workbench.

Improved

Verified sources stay distinct from model-made links

A link becomes a citation chip only when it exactly matches evidence returned by a Mempipe tool. Altered or invented source links stay visibly unresolved instead of looking like verified citations.

Improved

MCP answers can link to the exact evidence

Search, grep, and document reads over a Space’s MCP connection now return complete citation links for citable results, giving connected agents a direct path back to the source block.

ProductUsageDocumentsMCP

Clearer usage and more reliable file processing

Understand your Organization’s usage, process files more reliably, and connect both modern and existing MCP clients.

This release improves some of the practical details that keep a knowledge workspace running smoothly.

Organization usage is easier to understand, with clearer guidance when an upload or new Space cannot be added. File and PDF processing is more reliable, especially when one document takes longer than the rest.

MCP connections also support both modern Client ID Metadata Documents and Dynamic Client Registration, keeping Mempipe compatible with newer clients while continuing to support existing ones.

New

See your Organization’s usage

The billing page now shows how much storage your Organization uses across its Spaces, together with its current Space usage.

Improved

Clearer guidance when you reach a limit

If an upload or new Space cannot be added, Mempipe now explains what happened and points you toward the next useful action. Your existing files remain available to read, export, replace, or remove.

What to do at a limit
Improved

More reliable file and PDF processing

Mempipe now processes supported files and long-running PDFs more reliably. A slow document no longer holds up unrelated documents or tables.

Fix a file that failed
Improved

Modern MCP client registration

MCP connections now support both Client ID Metadata Documents and Dynamic Client Registration, helping newer and existing clients connect through the OAuth registration flow they support.

AgentsMCPSpacesPipeline

Your Space is now an MCP server

Connect Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT Desktop, Codex, Cursor, or VS Code to a Space and let it work from the same files you do.

New

Connect MCP clients to a Space

Every Space now has a connection screen with its endpoint URL, guided setup for six popular clients, and manual configuration for compatible clients. Sign-in happens through OAuth in your browser — there are no access tokens to paste or manage.

Connect an AI assistant
Improved

Access stays scoped to the Space you chose

An MCP connection can search, read documents and files, resolve wiki links, and query tables in its Space, but it cannot be reused against another one. The endpoint stays read-only and follows the connecting member's permissions.

New

Agents can choose the right way to read each file

The new file inspector shows an agent which ways of using a file are currently available and the exact next operation to call — such as reading a source-mapped document or querying a table. That means less guessing in mixed document and data collections.

Improved

Files, Search, and Pipeline are easier to find

The workbench now gives Files, Search, and Pipeline equal footing in a compact activity rail. Search Index and the new MCP Endpoint live under Pipeline, where the path from source files to agent-ready serving is visible in one place.

AgentsAgent ChatOrganizations

A clearer view of every answer

Follow the searches, document reads, and other steps Agent Chat takes before giving you an answer.

This completes the Organization and Space lifecycle introduced in the previous release.

New

Inspect how Agent Chat reached an answer

Searches, document reads, and other tool calls now appear in a compact trace showing what the agent looked for, which files it opened, whether a step is still running, and how long it took.

Improved

Clearer tool results and answer formatting

Expand any step to inspect its full input and result. Errors and incomplete results stand out, completed work stays quiet, and code-block syntax highlighting is restored.

Visible Organization and Space context

The current Organization and Space now appear beside the Mempipe logo. On smaller screens, the same context moves into the logo menu.

ProductPDFSearchCitationsTables

Faster PDF review and clearer search

Large PDFs load more smoothly, Search explains incomplete results, and citations can open individual table rows.

Improved

Smoother review for large PDFs

Pages load and render as you move through a document instead of preparing the entire preview first. Cited pages get priority, browser memory use is lower, and a failed preview can be retried without closing it.

Read a PDF as Markdown
Improved

More honest search status

Search now says when recent uploads are still being prepared, distinguishes complete results from results with more available, and reports how many files the visible results cover.

What search messages mean
Improved

Readable long file names

Long, similar file names now keep their distinguishing endings visible in search results, so near-identical documents stay tellable apart.

Search your files
Improved

More precise table citations

When reliable row positions are available, a PDF table citation opens and highlights the individual row. Otherwise it safely falls back to the table.

Improved

Clearer site and app navigation

The Mempipe website and product now share a more consistent visual language and a clearer route between the public site and the workbench.

ProductAGENTS.mdLarge filesCSVPDF

Larger files and open instructions for agents

Guide Agent Chat with the open AGENTS.md format, upload files up to 128 MiB, and process large CSVs with less memory.

An alpha upload of a 106 MB CSV exposed two separate limits: getting the file into Mempipe, and processing it without exhausting memory.

New

Open instructions for agents

Put an AGENTS.md file at the root of a Space to give Agent Chat shared, visible working rules. Mempipe reads the ordinary Markdown file fresh for every message instead of hiding the instructions in product settings.

Improved

Larger, more resilient uploads

Mempipe now accepts files up to 128 MiB. Large uploads report real progress, recover from temporary transfer failures, and keep the browser responsive when several files are added together.

Fixed

Lower-memory CSV processing

Processing no longer exhausts memory on the 100 MB-class CSV that exposed the problem, allowing similarly large datasets to finish reliably.

More time for PDF extraction

Substantial PDFs now have enough time to finish extraction instead of timing out close to completion.

Mempipe’s private alpha is open

We invited friends to Mempipe’s private alpha, and all of them have joined.

Mempipe helps people and AI agents turn files, notes, documents, and data into a living knowledge base they can search, cite, and build on together. The alpha gives us a small, direct loop for learning where that workflow helps and where it still gets in the way.
