Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MEMPIPE PTE. LTD. (UEN 202636809W), a company incorporated in Singapore (“Mempipe”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses and shares personal data when you use the Mempipe website, web app, API, MCP connectors and apps (together, the “Service”). Our Terms of Service also apply.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: your name and email address. If you sign up with a password, we store a hash of it, not the password itself. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
• Your content: the files you upload and anything you or a connected application create in the Service, such as notes.
• Billing details: your plan and billing history. Card details are collected and stored by our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Messages: what you send us by email or through the chat on our website.

Information created when you use the Service

• Derived data: text, structure, document maps and search indexes we extract from your files so you can read, search and cite them.
• Connections and activity: your sessions, the applications you connect and the access you grant them, and a record of changes to your files, including which application made them.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, and request, error and performance logs.
• Usage data: pages you visit and actions you take on the website and in the app, collected through analytics tools. In the app, this is linked to your account.

2. How we use it

We use personal data to:

• provide, operate, secure and improve the Service;
• create and manage your account, and sign you in;
• process your files so you can read, search and cite them, and return results to the applications you connect;
• process payments and manage your plan;
• send you messages about your account, such as sign-in links and important notices;
• answer your questions and requests;
• understand how the Service is used, and find and fix problems;
• prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
• comply with the law.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your content to train AI models.

3. Who we share it with

Service providers. These companies process data for us to run the Service:

Some processing, such as extracting text from PDFs, runs on servers we operate ourselves.

Services you choose to use. When you choose them, data goes to these services under their own terms and privacy policies, not ours:

• AI assistants you connect, such as ChatGPT and Claude. They receive what the Service returns to them, such as file text, search results and citations, and any files you choose to send to them.
• The AI provider you pick for the in-app agent, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter or Vercel, using your own API key. Your prompts and the file content the agent reads are sent to that provider. Your key is kept in your browser and passes through our servers only to make the request.

Other cases. We may disclose personal data:

• if the law requires it, or to respond to valid legal process;
• to protect the rights, property or safety of Mempipe, our users or others;
• to a buyer or successor if Mempipe is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets;
• with your consent.

4. Where it is stored

Our main servers and database are in Singapore. We and our service providers may also store and process data in other countries, including the United States. When we transfer personal data out of Singapore, we take steps required by applicable law to ensure it is protected to a comparable standard.

5. How long we keep it

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. That includes complying with law, resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements.

• Deleting a file removes it from your Space, from file listings and from search. We do not currently erase deleted files. We keep them, and data derived from them, in our systems until the Space or organization that held them is deleted.
• Deleting a Space or organization removes it and its files from the Service.
• Deleting your account: email us at hello@mempipe.ai from the address you sign in with.
• Residual copies may remain in backups and logs for a period of time after deletion.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies:

• Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect sign-in. The Service does not work without them.
• Analytics: Google Analytics uses cookies to help us understand how the website and app are used. In the app, it is linked to your account. Ahrefs measures visits to the website without cookies.

You can block or delete cookies, and block analytics scripts, in your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies or scripts does not stop the Service from working.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of your data.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• correct it;
• ask us to delete it;
• withdraw consent you have given us;
• object to or restrict some processing, or ask for a copy of your data in a portable format.

To make a request, email hello@mempipe.ai. We may need to verify your identity first. We will respond as required by applicable law. If you withdraw consent, we may no longer be able to provide some or all of the Service.

You can also delete files, Spaces and organizations yourself in the app.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date above. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to tell you, for example by email or by a notice in the Service.
